Final Major Project

*Grassroot Records

Grassroot Records vinyl label macro shot, Vol. I Side A

Date: June 2026

FMP is a piece of practice‑based research I developed in my final year of university, in which you research and identify a need to "resolve / solve" using your skills as a designer. My project celebrated indie music. It was aimed at Gen Z and younger millennials (18–30yrs) who are interested in indie culture but didn't get to experience the peak of indie support.

My FMP supported the third spaces that keep indie alive and thriving, so the genre can continue to have a positive impact on today's youth and culture. My deliverables were 5 indie compilation albums — all proceeds going towards the Music Venue Trust — and a campaign: Keep Grassroot Venues Alive and Keep Music Live.

I designed a website to extend the project digitally, giving people a place to understand the albums, the artists, the venues and the purpose behind the campaign. I also designed social media to keep the brand active and current, especially for a Gen Z audience. Together, these assets make the campaign feel less like a charity product and more like a music culture people can actually take part in.

Hip Hop Vinyl

No Breaks hip-hop compilation vinyl — lifestyle mockup leaning against a leather bench

Date: June 2025

This was an assigned project exploring the roots of a music genre and designing a sleeve for a genre‑specific compilation. Hip‑Hop was my genre — the goal was to address the demographic and visual language associated with it. I worked independently and took it upon myself to delve deep into my research.

After lots of thought and development, my final design walks the line between cool and nostalgia — both reflective of the hip‑hop genre.

Magazine

C.Design magazine — The AI Design Revolution spread, open book mockup

Date: June 2024

This was an assigned project dedicated to designing and understanding contemporary magazines. The goal was to develop a magazine centred around a topic of my choice, featuring chosen articles and showcasing my editorial skills.

I collaborated with other undergraduate designers to write 5 professional‑standard articles. My target audience was young graphic designers, and the magazine was centred around advising and offering creative inspiration through its layout.

I had creative freedom over my choice of aesthetic and utilised a clean, minimalistic design style to mirror the content — each spread offering a clear, separate identity under this style.

Rebrand Project

DipHex

Date: June 2025  ·  Client: DipHex

This was an assigned project collaborating with industry experts. The goal was to redesign "DipHex," a leading supplier of products for emergency chemical burn first aid & decontamination. DipHex offer neutral pH solutions to alleviate chemical burns and prevent worsening — an alternative to water, which only temporarily alleviates pain.

I worked in a group of other undergraduate designers alongside design agency "Finally," to whom we presented our designs and gained valuable feedback on rebranding. We modernised a brand that was a decade behind, maintaining first-aid imagery to form a clear separation from medicinal/pharmaceutical branding.

Book Design

The Wickedest by Caleb Femi — hardcover book flat-lay on fabric

Date: June 2025

This was an assigned project dedicated to book cover design. The goal was to design a cover for "The Wickedest" by Caleb Femi — a modern poetry book celebrating the institution of house parties in England. I independently developed a book cover, a process I was unfamiliar with at the time.

This design takes inspiration from rave culture and fantastical elements to produce a graphical image of the night.
